Registration Update

Given the current situation and significant travel restrictions currently being enacted due to the coronavirus, ISA is closely monitoring and evaluating conditions for hosting the 2020 ISA Asia Pacific Tree Climbing Championship.

The health and safety of our climbers, attending public and everyone working the event are always our highest priority. As we review and monitor the climate around travel in the region, we are exploring three potential outcomes, including hosting the event “as is” in Singapore with added precautions, postponing the event, or relocating the competition.

We are working closely with our APTCC committee, reviewing available resources, and noting information from international organizations on the best solution and will make an announcement updating all parties by 28 February 2020. Thank you for your understanding and patience as we monitor the situation. Please let us know if you have any questions regarding this matter.

The Asia Pacific Tree Climbing Championship (APTCC) provides a competitive but educational opportunity for working arborists in the Asia Pacific region to demonstrate and exchange new climbing techniques and equipment, as well as, safe work practices. The APTCC also increases the interaction between various firms, ISA chapters, Associate Organizations, and members, and provides positive public exposure for the profession in that region of the world. The event is managed by the Asia Pacific Tree Climbing Championship Operations Committee.

The winners of this event represent the Asia-Pacific region at the annual International Tree Climbing Championship.
